A stroll along the abandoned railway lines of the Lyon region (or elsewhere), in the early hours of the morning, when the light is razor-sharp.
Our modern society is profoundly changing our idea of privacy:
websites are collecting more and more personal data;
governments are introducing increasingly effective and intrusive surveillance solutions;
social networks and the use we make of them reveal our tastes, hobbies, etc.
A study of those moments known as 'dead time' and their different forms.
Freely chosen or suffered, from a few minutes to several years, from a coffee break to a sabbatical year,
periods of hospitalisation, life's ups and downs, etc,
downtime is often a time for rethinking, a prelude to new beginnings.
With a powerful fan, good lighting and an assistant, you can get some surprising portraits,
far from the usual aesthetic criteria, but much funnier.
An aesthetic inspired by playing card graphics.
A huge well done to all the models who took part in this project. They were the ones who came up with the costumes
accessories that make these images so rich.
The entire series was shot in just a few sessions (2 or 3 at the most) and, of course, in the studio.
Each image is a composite of two photos, or sometimes a duplicate of a single photo.
